Barry wants to help teenagers get counseling without having to go through their parents. The idea came after her own struggles with anxiety and depression.

    Anna Barry raised more than $200 for her organization, the Student Alliance on Mental Illness, at her trivia fundraiser in December in Naples. She hopes to help teens get the counseling they need without having to rely on their parents. “The only reason I was able to get the help I needed was that I’m middle class, I have resources, and I have family that was supportive,” she said.
