Throughout October, the Healthy Start Coalition of Southwest Florida is hosting free virtual screenings for ages 2 months to 5 years old, called Books, Balls & Blocks. The screenings are in partnership with the United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades and Okeechobee, the Office of Early Learning and the Children’s Forum through Healthy Start’s Help Me Grow program.
Areas screened include behavior, cognitive, communication, problem solving, social, gross and fine motor skills.
Families receive a free goodie bag with a developmental toy and certificates for free kids’ meals at local restaurants for completing the screening.
