The Edison and Ford Winter Estates home-school robotics team, Assembly Required, placed among the top teams at the first LEGO league qualifier tournament and won an award for its robot mechanical design.
The team now advances to the regional competition Saturday, February 1, at the Wa-Ke Hatchee Park and Recreation Center in Fort Myers and Lexington Middle School.
During the competition, each team gets three attempts (each at a scheduled time and table) to complete as many missions as possible on the robot challenge field. Spectators are invited to watch the teams compete.
TLC Engineering Solutions is the Estates' team sponsor.
